What's New in Visuals
The Visuals Agent chat got calmer, and Visuals got a lot better on your phone.
Before, the Agent asked all its questions at once, wrote long walls of text, and you had to watch the visual canvas to see a run finish. Now it asks one question at a time, tells you in a line what it did, and shows the whole run right in the chat. On iPhone and iPad, Visuals fits the screen and responds to a single tap.
The short version:
The Agent asks one question at a time, and some take several answers
A live run card shows every card as it finishes, right in the chat
Visuals fits iPhone and iPad screens, with a phone style asset picker
260 free fonts, and lyrics look the same in the editor and the export
Image and Poster check the real price before you generate
New video cards start on Seedance 2.0 Fast
10 new playbooks for the Agent
A calmer Agent chat
One question at a time
Questions now show up one by one, in place of the message box, with a counter like 2 of 3. Close them and come back later without losing your answers, or press Skip questions. Typing your own message counts as an answer.
Some questions now say Select all that apply, for things like who a video is for, where several answers are true. The Agent's recommended answer is always first. Skip a question and it uses its recommendation.
Less to read
While the Agent works you see one plain line about what it is doing. After each turn you see how long it thought and a short summary like "Added 3 cards, 2 connections". Tap it to see each step. Scripts and briefs show as a small document card with an Open button.
The message box is simpler too: attach, song and settings in one field. While the Agent is busy, the send button queues your message, and queued messages sit on top with Send now. On a computer you can keep the chat as a side panel, full screen or floating.
Watch the run in the chat
When a run starts, from the chat or the visual canvas, the chat shows a live run card. It lists every card in the run with its model and main settings. Each one gets a spinner, then a check or a failure mark, and its result fills in as it lands. The finished video sits at the top. Open any finished result in the full viewer, and edit text results right there.
Above the message box, a small chip keeps track of the flow:
Before a run, it shows the plan, the number of cards and about how many credits.
During a run, it shows progress.
After a run, it shows Last run, with Retry what failed and a Full flow view with Run all.
The Run all button now shows its price, the same way the test video does. Credit numbers for video are estimates until the run finishes.
The Agent runs the card you name
Only the card you ask for runs. Name a card, attach a card, or ask the Agent to make one card and run it, and only that card runs, even when you add "don't run the others". If a name matches 2 cards, the Agent asks instead of guessing.
Results land on the visual canvas without a refresh. Images no longer sit at Generating 98%.
Too long or too short reference videos are caught before the run, at no cost, and the Agent can now trim a source video or audio card itself.
Compose uses the part of a video you trimmed, in the preview, the time estimate and the export.
Visuals on your phone and tablet
Everything fits. On iPhone and iPad, screens fit the visible area and stay clear of the notch and home bar. Long prompts no longer push the toolbar off screen.
One tap selects. Previews only play on hover when you use a mouse.
A phone style asset picker. On a phone, picking assets looks like your photo picker: filter tabs, search, a 3 column grid with Upload first, and check circles. It stays smooth with thousands of assets. Tap an asset to add it to the Agent chat.
Sheets drag and snap like on iPhone.
The Agent chat is full screen on a phone, and only shrinks when you shrink it. When a run finishes, tap Open chat.
My Library on touch: a tap opens the full viewer, and the menu and checkbox stay visible.
Fonts: 260 to choose from, and they match
What you see is what you export
A lyric video could show one font and line breaks in the editor, and different ones in the export. This mostly happened with fonts that only live on your own computer, like Futura, Arial or Helvetica.
Now the editor and the export use the same font files, sizes and spacing, so lines break the same way. Fonts that only work on some computers are no longer in the picker. Older projects that used them switch to a close free match, for example Futura to Jost and Arial to Arimo, and the picker shows which one a project now uses.
126 new free fonts
The picker now has 260 fonts, all free to use in your videos. New ones include Manrope, IBM Plex Sans, Barlow, Urbanist, Bodoni Moda, DM Serif Display, Geist Mono, Unbounded, Syne, Bungee, Monoton, League Gothic, Rock Salt, Kaushan Script, Sacramento, Michroma, Oxanium, Teko, Cinzel and Metal Mania. They work in the caption and text style panels, in preview and in export.
Know the price before you generate
On the Image and Poster pages, the Generate button could show a lower price than the real one, for example 8 credits for an edit with a reference image that really cost 19. Then the request was turned away.
Now Visuals checks the real price when you press Generate. If it is higher, or the quality has to change, a Review the price and settings window shows the images, model, quality and credits before anything starts. Choose Generate for the shown credits, or Keep editing. No prices changed.
A new everyday video model, and 10 new playbooks
New video cards now start on Seedance 2.0 Fast: 16:9, 8 seconds, sound on, 720p. Cards you already saved keep their model, and the Visuals Agent still picks the best model for each shot.
The Agent also has 10 new playbooks: Lip-Sync, Character & Voice Continuity, Ad Versions, Event Posters & Announce Kit, Thumbnails & Video Covers, Identity Sheet, Product Photoshoot, AI Creator Persona, Motion & Character Transfer, and Mini Dramas & Drama Ads. Turn them on or off under Skills in the Agent's settings.
Connect Visuals to ChatGPT and other AI apps
ChatGPT connects with the normal Visuals address and a browser sign in. No setup fields.
AI apps can do more: upload and import files, organize collections, folders and favorites, make share links, check your credits and the price before a run, and make up to 12 images or videos in one go.
Everyday reads no longer use up your limit, so a burst of requests doesn't lock you out.
Find the connection details in Settings, API & MCP.
Also fixed
Typing in the prompt box lines up with the cursor, even with song mentions.
My Library filters for Projects, Flows and Compositions work again.
Motion Video reference images behave. Too many are turned away before upload, cleared ones stay cleared, and runs with uploaded references start normally.
Upload notices tell the truth. A batch with one bad file shows Upload needs attention instead of pulsing forever.
Finished Seedance videos save and play instead of failing at the last step.
Connections show right away on the visual canvas, and it no longer goes blank on a new flow's first save.
Your uploaded videos work as inputs on video cards, for example to extend a clip.
Editing one caption line keeps the timing of the lines you didn't touch.
Paid plans keep working during a renewal. While a renewal payment was finishing, some paid accounts were briefly blocked.
Plus assorted polish on menus, dark mode and older browsers.
