What's New in Visuals

Pitch your idea as a treatment, and see it before you make it.

Before, a new account landed on an empty chat and had to work out what to make. Now you pick a format, type your idea, and Visuals pitches it back to you: 3 creative directions, then 4 scene stills, a title, a look and a color palette. Like it, and Make this video turns it into a real video. This release also brings a full refresh of the AI models, with new defaults for images and text.

The short version:

  • Turn an idea into a pitched treatment with 4 scene stills

  • Redo any single still, or revise the whole direction

  • Make this video turns a treatment into a real video

  • Claude Fable 5.1 and GPT-6 Astra, our most capable text models yet

  • Plus Claude 5.5, GPT-6.1 and Gemini 4 Argon, with Sonnet 5.5 as default

  • Nano Banana 2.1 is the new default image model, and costs less

  • Your first paid plan comes with 200 bonus credits

Treatments

Start with your idea

Pick a format: Music video, Spotify Canvas, Ad creative, Mini drama, Lyric video, Social content or Product ad. Then answer What's your idea? You can add your song, a photo of yourself, cover art or a reference.

Visuals writes 3 creative directions, each with a cover still. Pick one and you get 4 scene stills, a title, a look and a color palette.

Make it yours

  • Redo a single still. Hover a still, click Redo and add a short note. Earlier takes are kept, and the arrows step back to them.

  • Revise the whole thing. Revise offers Edit stills, to change these exact 4 images, or New direction, to write a fresh direction from your note.

  • Keep your look. If you added a photo of yourself, a Character sheet keeps your outfit and likeness the same across the stills.

Then make the video

Click Make this video. On a paid plan, the Visuals Agent builds the cards and connections on the visual canvas and runs them. On the free plan, you pick a plan first and confirm the video when you come back. (Since 10.26 you can also buy just that 1 video, with no plan.)

Your treatments are saved under Your treatments and reopen from My Library. Some formats have a Watch full film example with a Make one like this button.

Who gets what

  • Free plan: new accounts start here, and every free account gets 3 free treatments. Each new treatment or new direction uses 1. Redoing a single still is free. Stills are watermarked. You can always choose Skip and talk to the Agent.

  • Paid plans: find it under Make a treatment on the Agent's home screen. Stills cost the usual image credits, shown before you make them.

New free accounts now start with free treatments instead of starter credits.

New AI models

Text and the Visuals Agent

Claude Fable 5.1 and GPT-6 Astra are here. They are the most capable text models in Visuals, for scripts, treatments and creative briefs that need the most thought. They cost more per card than everyday models, and the card shows the price before you run.

Also new: Claude Opus 5.5, Claude Sonnet 5.5, Claude Haiku 5.5, GPT-6.1 Sol, GPT-6 Luna, Gemini 4 Argon and Gemini 3.8 Flash.

  • Claude Sonnet 5.5 is the new default for text cards and the Visuals Agent, at the same 1 credit per card.

  • On Opus 5.5, Sonnet 5.5 and Fable 5.1 the Agent always thinks before it answers, so the Off setting is hidden for those.

Images

Nano Banana 2.1 is the new default for image cards and the Visuals Agent. It costs 4 credits at 1K, 5 at 2K and 7 at 4K, 1 less than Nano Banana 2 at 2K and 4K. It also keeps 2K and 4K at very wide or very tall shapes. It has no 512 size.

Older models upgraded

Older models were upgraded to their newest versions, and your saved cards move with them on their own:

  • Claude 4.5, 4.6 and 4.8 cards now run on Claude 5.5.

  • GPT-5 cards now run on GPT-6.1 Sol or GPT-6 Luna.

  • Gemini 3.6 Flash cards now run on Gemini 3.8 Flash.

  • Luma Ray 2 and Ray Flash 2 cards now run on Luma Ray 3.2.

  • Runway Gen-4 Turbo cards now run on Runway Gen-4.5.

  • GPT Image 1.5 cards now run on GPT Image 2.

Nothing to redo. The card shows the model that will run and its price before you run, and old results keep the name of the model that made them.

Plans and credits

  • 200 bonus credits with your first paid plan. A one time bonus on your first month, on top of the plan's credits, monthly or yearly.

  • Switch plans at checkout. If you open checkout, back out, and pick a different plan or billing period, the new checkout now opens straight away. Before, you could be blocked for up to an hour.

  • The plans screen shows your real balance. Free accounts see their Available credits once. Paid plans see this month's usage and their total credits.

  • Image settings show the real base price for the quality and shape you picked, and details show the model that actually made the image.

Also fixed

  • Fewer false save warnings. An open flow could show Review save recovery after a save that had actually gone through. Real differences still show it, so nothing is lost.

  • Edited text shows as edited. After you edit a text result, the viewer and Download all assets now use your edit.

  • Lyric video custom scenes match their price. The clip you get is the length you were quoted.

  • "Run it once" means once. Clear requests like "run all 3 cards exactly once" or "make 3 copies and run only the copies" now run as asked.

  • Finished videos don't show as failed. A Seedance video could finish and still be marked failed, or stay on Running. It now lands on its card, and you are only charged once.

  • Uploading straight into Cuts shows progress again.

  • Price estimates from AI apps match the charge for very wide images.

  • Plus assorted polish on the plans screen, previews and loading states.
