What's New in Visuals
This one is about what happens after a flow works: copying it, running it again, and exporting what it made.
A few of those steps were quietly doing the wrong thing. Copies were still tied to the original, runs started before you had a chance to set them up, and finished exports looked like failures. All of that is fixed.
The short version:
Editing a copied project no longer changes the original's video
Run as new project opens Run Setup instead of starting straight away
Finished ProRes exports no longer show as failed
Use videos you upload as references on Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash
Image-heavy boards stop crashing Safari on iPhone and iPad

Copies are really copies
Before, when you copied a project that had a Compose card, the copy's video timeline was still the original's. Trim a clip or reorder shots in the copy, and you had just changed the original too.
Now Run as new project and Duplicate both give the copy its own timeline. Any edits you had already made come across with it, and from then on the two are independent. Change one and the other stays exactly as you left it.
Run as new project lets you set up first
Before, Run as new project made the new project and started running it immediately, with whatever was left over from the last run.
Now it makes the new project, opens it, clears out the old run's leftovers, and opens Run Setup. Add your idea, songs and references, then run when you are ready. Nothing starts, and no credits are spent, until you press Run.
Exports you can trust
Finished ProRes exports no longer look failed. A ProRes export from a Compose card could finish perfectly and still be marked as failed. The file was fine and already in My Library; the canvas just did not know. It now picks up the finished export correctly, and your My Library details stay intact.
Compose matches the shape of your images. When an image in My Library had no aspect ratio saved with it, the Compose card could preview and build the video at the wrong shape. It now measures the image itself, so a portrait photo gives you a 9:16 video. Picking an aspect ratio by hand still wins.
Use your own videos on Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash
You can now connect a video you uploaded as a reference on a Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash card, on the visual canvas, the same way you connect one you generated. Before, uploaded clips were being turned away.
Short clips, up to about 8MB, are the most reliable. If a clip is too large, the card tells you and suggests a shorter one.
Also fixed
Image-heavy boards stop crashing Safari on iPhone and iPad. A board full of images could run the browser out of memory and reload the page. Images now load at the size they are shown, as they come into view.
Inspired by in Motion Video uses the image model you picked. With reference images attached, it was skipping your chosen model and editing the reference directly. It now generates the starting image the way you asked.
Seedance clips with reference audio keep your settings. They now hold on to automatic length, your aspect ratio and your output format.
